You should see improvement within a few days. Keep in mind that the primary purpose of ivermectin pour on is a wormer. It must be placed on bare skin, on the back of the neck. You'll need to treat the inside of the coop to treat mites there as well, nests included. I recommend using sevin dust.

Is sevin dust different then de?
 
Do you have to with hold the eggs for ten day using invermectin pour on? If you do what if you do a rooster who mates a female?
