I have been using this for the past 3 years after having many problems with parasites, especially Roundworms. It has worked very well (I use it 5 days each month). Now they have changed the formula (no Hygromin B) and I am wondering if anyone can tell me if they have experience good or bad with the new formula. Or if there is something else I should try with no egg withdrawl time.

Hopefully @casportpony @Eggcessive or @dawg53 will chime in.

The "new" Strike III I don't see any claims by Durvet that it is a "de-wormer".
""Strike III Natural Poultry Pellets is veterinary formulated to support digestive health and genetic potential for poultry of all classes."" https://www.durvet.com/product/strike-iii-natural/
So basically it is now marketed as a feed supplement or for digestive support.
The "old" formula that contained Hygromin B which is an antibiotic, did work, but antibiotics were taken off the shelves and eliminated in feeds and supplements beginning in 2017.

You have to use whatever de-wormer you are most comfortable with. You ask for one that has NO Withdrawal, so the only one I know of on the market is pricey, but would do the job. That is Safeguard Aquasol https://www.merck-animal-health-usa.com/product/swine/Safe-Guard-AquaSol/1

https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/✪-fda-approves-fenbendazole-for-use-in-laying-hens-to-treat-large-roundworms-and-cecal-worms-✪.1221331/

A lot of people do use other dewormers, some are not "approved" for use in poultry, so they do observe a withdrawal period that they are comfortable with. Those include Wazine (treats roundworms only), Safeguard liquid goat wormer and Valbazen.

I checked the ingredients in the new Strike 3 product and there's nothing there that would treat worms. There are certain "flavors," and not the real deal, therefore the product is ineffective as a wormer.
As far as "supporting digestive health and genetic potential" goes, maybe or maybe not. A good quality layer feed does the same thing.
Strike 3 and Rooster Booster Triple Wormer were good wormers. Too bad the FDA got involved.

As with anything, I do like to read what others have to say, but it's best to take the info they give and use that a starting point for further research.
yeah saw dawgs post...just wonder how an AB could be a wormer.....but the hencam post makes me think they call it a wormer when actually it might not be, just a sneaky way to administer AB's for other things...I dunno :barnie I just don't give them anything. Have never seen worms when slaughtering or necropsying.
