Dust Bath Anyone and EVERYONE??

So- when one of my ladies decides that it is time for a dust bath- ALL of my ladies decide its time. They all just hang out throwin dust everywhere. Kinda like a spa day I guess. Is this normal?? Anyone else have this happen?

my chickens all like to dust bath together too.....they seem to do everything together....I guess they don't want to be left out of anything....or think another chicken is having more fun then they are

Must be normal! My girls do it too, and not only that, but George our Cockerel gets in the bath too!

Then they all laze around, looking half stoned, flapping dust on themselves and each other. This can go on for half an hour, and even more on a nice sunny day!

They look so disgraceful at the end - like little balls of dust! Then they all get up, fluff their feathers for a bit, and wander off looking happy

My girls do it also, I read some where they do it to keep bugs and pest out of there feathers.

Yup its a grooming thing and is normal.. Yes also for mite and other parisite removal.
