Dust bath

do you have to have a dust bath? My hens have lots of access to plain old dirt. Thanks.

A dust bath isn't necessary if you have plenty of free dirt lying around, but if it were me I would still like to keep a dust bath around just in case something happens. It's your choice if you want to be a little bit more extra, but you're fine.

Short answer is, nope.
Even if you provide one, they will likely find their own place...BTDT.

No, but mine love theirs and never dig any more in the chicken yard.
