As a first time peachick mom, I have three one month old peachicks and I have a lot of questions on how to take the best care of them!
I have chickens and guineas and I had turkeys in the past, but peachicks seem to be a completely different story.
I am not feeding them medicated food, and they are inside, in a kennel for now.
I let them out twice a day in the house in my office when I clean their cage, to get exercise.
I notice that they’re trying to take dust baths. What can I provide that is safe for them?

They loved it! They bathed so hard that fell asleep 😂
I can’t wait for Bean to be able to join too!

Great on you for raising your peachicks. I have five eggs in my incubator. 14 more days to go. What are/did you feed them after they were born? Any favorite treats?

We like to feed chick starter with hard boiled egg. One half of an egg with one half cup of starter placed in a food chopper. That is their only feed for the first week then we use that as a top dressing for the next four weeks. You can also offer it in your hand to socialize them, you will really enjoy the little piranha fish.

Hi! Mine are eating unmedicated turkey crumble. They like it wet. As treats, live mealworms, some small crickets and leafy greens. So far they have tried lettuce, dandelion green, chopped broccoli florets, microgreens and baby spinach (they didn’t care about this last one)
Good luck on your eggs! That must be so exciting!

I got it from tractor supply.
I believe it’s layena. Crickets and mealworms I order from amazon from Flukers. They come super quickly and very healthy bugs. I do also feed reptiles, so I always have them on hand :)

Thank you so much. I have not candled my five eggs yet. They have been in the incubator seven days and I think she was sitting on them for about seven. So two more weeks. What kind of reptiles? Do you feed them any raw beef?
