Update: guaranteed dust bathing material. Absolutely irresistible to checkens... Miracle Grow Garden Soil. I let it dry out,... then WOW! It's everywhere.

You can buy a cockatoo 100 dollars worth of toys, they twirl it once or twice, then it ends up on the bottom of the cage, or gathering dust in the corner. Give them the box it came in, or an old sock with holes in it and they are happy for a week.

For Orp Mom, be careful that miracle grow is not the stuff that has the fertilizer in it, but yes I share your pain, I think its the white vermiculite or something that attracts them, I honestly dunno but if I use it as an adjunct to any plants I plant, it's a guarantee it will get dug through the moment they find it.
