Hi, I've got 10 Coturnix quail chicks, 1-3 days old. I'd like to start letting them dust bathe (I've got some all-purpose sand which I think will work) but I was wondering when would be a good age to let them start. Is there any harm in letting them start now?

I think u can start now. I’m no quail expert tho so I would I wait for more responses

I don't know anything about quail, but I put a pie tin of all purpose sand in my brooder for my chicks by the time they were about 2 weeks. :) I'm sure you could start as early as you want! There's no harm for young chicks in a good dust bath.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give them a little box of sand tonight; here's hoping they take to it!
