Dust Baths!

Maybe I am an oddball, but one of my favorite things about having chickens is watching them taking dustbaths! Followed by watching them scratch around when they free-range... but this is all about the dustbath!

Anyone else enjoy just watching their chickens taking a dustbath? I think it's the cutest thing to watch...but maybe I am strange....

Not strange at all! I love watching my flock dig up dirt and dust bathe! It's adorable.

The other day one of my SIL's and I were standing on my doorstep watching the ladies throw dirt almost 3 feet in the air as they dug new dustbath holes and threw themselves into the dusting action.

I like listening to the sounds. The satisfied purring and the shuff-shuff-shuff of feathers rubbing in dirt.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who feels like watching chickens take dust baths is a zen-like experience. It's very relaxing to watch, and adorable
