I have finished the new turkey shed, built all the pannels for there run, just need to conect them together and they can move in to there new complex. Do turkeys require a dust bath like chickens? If they do dose anyone have any ideas as to hoe to provide one in there run which is just meddow. And what sort of size does it need to be as they are only 9 weeks old at the moment i dont realy know how big they will get.

Depends on how much meadow is available. They will appropriate whatever area they take a hankering to and, when it is dry, start scraping away until they have `turkey sized' pits shoveled out. If it is too wet out-of-doors, they'll sometimes go right to the floor of shed/coop through the bedding (using that material as a substitute - can pile sand in a corner but quite a bit). We have a fire pit (burn a lot of branches here in the woods) and this will give some idea of amount of room/depth they prefer:

I use DE powder wherever my flocks care to bathe, too! LOL

:thumbsup We have a fire pit as well and burn the same thing that you do. All of the birds love it.
