Dust beds

I'm looking into making a dust bed similar to this. Does anyone know of what to put inside bc you can't just buy a bag of dust

Good old dirt I tried sand at first and my girls don't like it. They like to use a bucket that we used to plant tomatoes in, they took those over. Then they have some other spots when free ranging that they just digg up the dirt and go to town.
Some people like to add peat moss to the dirt. I have not tried this yet

Wood ashes are a very good thing. They help eliminate mites and lice.

We use a mixture of wood ashes and peat moss.

Take the gross tire out of it and it looks like a nice picture.
Tires are full of chemicals

I use wood ash as well plus add some food grade De , works wonders

Would ash sand and food grade DE seem to work really well and they love it
