dust dust and more dust

The pine bedding comes in different degrees of coarseness, at least it does here. Try for as coarse as you can find; makes a difference. My coop gets dusted once or twice a year and that's on the rafters...although I could dust it often, I just don't. Maybe I am missing something here.

If ya'll saw the cobwebs hangin in my coop you'd probably fall over! I keep the poo cleaned up, but I really don't worry about the dust. You could likely scoop it up with a toy sand shovel under the eves....lol

Your not missing anything. I think that is how most folks take care of chickens and it is fine. However, I live in a big city really close to neighbors. If anyone ever decided to complain, and if I had animal control come out to check things out, I want there to be zero reasons they could make me get rid of my chickens. I make sure the coop is clean, smells fine, clean water and food, chickens are happy, quiet, and no flies.
