I just went out to check my hens - it's hot here - and they came out of their favorite shady spot. Once on the concrete my SS decided to shake the dust out of her feathers. She left a ring around herself on the ground! Those feathers can sure hold a lot of dirt. She probably lost a pound by shaking *lol* A few minutes later she shook again and left a smaller dirt ring.
