1) What type of bird , age and weight. Dutch Bantam Cock, between 2 and 5 years old, weight ??? but very light, as dutch are apt to be
2) What is the behavior, exactly. His eye wont open, and there is a little (and i mean tiny) bit of pus on the outside corner. He is still active, feisty, and in every way normal, excpet for his eye.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?Since yesterday evening
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?No-one, as yet. Will monitor all birds, however.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.None, not a scratch on him.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. He is in a large cage with another roo, but they never fight because they all have enough gals. And there is no bleeding or sign or trauma at all, so no fight happened.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.Layer feed, water.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.Normal
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?Isolated cage, with his favorite hen, and food and water.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?Would like this to be as cheap as possible.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

12)Describe the housing/bedding in use: House is a 10x9x8 coop, on the dirt. Nest boxes are filled with pine shavings, cleaned every week.
