As many of you know, Dux are sub-poultry and not be be kept in proper circles by proper poultry people. mainly because, they smell, have bad manners, poop in their feed, poop in their water and basically just let squirt wherever they want regardless of the company present.
I have always thought this was because Dux are just dumb or slobs. Recently I found out from an unnamed source nicknamed Fake Eilleen, but I will with hold her real name so no one can point fingers at her..
Anyways this unnamed person made a comment that her chickens poop in their feed and water...(Maybe it was @Miss Lydia does not matter much, we must keep them anonymous)
It dawned on me if their chickens are not toilet trained maybe it is not eh DUX fault but the dux's parents fault. I understand it can be hard to toilet train Chickens and Turkeys, but I do it. All of my birds use the commode I have set up for them. When you work hard and let the bird know what is expected of them, they want to please you.
I would like to have a respectable chicken or turkey owner get some Dux and see if they can be trained. I would do it myself, but frankly, I have a sensitive gag reflex and cannot be that close to dux.
I know I failed at parenting Guineas but that was their fault and not mine. They just refuse to stop using narcotics and to get a real job, preferring to pilfer parked cars and committing armed robbery. It should be noted I was just a foster parent for the guineas and they were never truly mine. Had I raised them from birth they would not have behaved like an unruly flock of dux....
Anyone willing to take on potty training the dux contact me and I will get a government grant to study your findings...
Thanks
