My polish hen was extremely lethargic this morning. She shares coop w/6 others none are exhibiting same behavior. They are on grass(fenced) eating chick starter and water. I gave her probiotic water through syringe, sugar water, molasses, she won’t drink or eat.on her last breath

I’m so sorry to read this. Do you think she could have gotten into something poisonous? Or had a bite of some kind?

Separate her from the flock in a dog carte or kennel, and provide normal and electorate water for her. Do you hav entry drench? Try giving her 3 drops of that in her mouth and it will give her a boost. What is her poop like? What is the heat/smoke like where your are? What do you feed including scraps, supplements and treats? How old is she and when did she lay an egg last? Wet down her food with some water and apple cider vinegar, and see if she will eat that. Make sure you get lots of fluids in her. Good luck with her! Did you inspect her throughly for any kind of bite? Snake, spider, bug?

I have a rooster that developed Coccidia out of the clear blue when he was about 3 months old. Barely caught it in time. He was very weak. He did it again when he was about 6 months old. None of his hatch mates showed any signs of infestation. Only him. I treated him each time with a few drops of Corid full strength then followed up with treated water.

He's two years old now. But I had to ride herd on him until he matured. I believe that after a year they develop tolerance to the parasite.
