I think there should be a giant sign somewhere on this site that says, "MEDICATED FEED DOES NOT TREAT AN OUTBREAK OF COCCIODOSIS."

For newbies like myself, it is very misleading. I thought the same thing; "my birds can't have cocci; they're on medicated feed!" So, so wrong.

I think the concept really hit home when I went to a seminar that described the difference between coccidiostats and coccidiocides. The little weak lightbulb went off over my head. "Ohhhhh..."

There's so much misinformation out there, but that's what boards like this are for. To spread it..... erm, I mean to fix it! /wicked grin
