I got a load of silkie chicks from our tractor supply around the 21st. Since then 2 have died. One died a day or 2 after I got them and one this morning. They have access to food and water, perfect heat None have acted sickly or stopped eating or drinking from what I observe. I’ve noticed at least a few out of the 10 have nasty poos… kinda like diarrhea, others have super healthy little poos. I gave them electrolytes and probiotics, I thought that helped then I found another dead this morning after checking on them. I don’t see anything visibly wrong. There’s no discharge from the beak or nose they’re all moving and active. None are stumbling or acting funny. About an hour ago I heard lots of loud peeping, went in and checked and one was on its back. Not thrashing around but clearly couldn’t right itself back up. I flipped it over and it walked off fine and I’ve had no other issues with the chick since.
no idea where to go from here
