I got a load of silkie chicks from our tractor supply around the 21st. Since then 2 have died. One died a day or 2 after I got them and one this morning. They have access to food and water, perfect heat None have acted sickly or stopped eating or drinking from what I observe. I’ve noticed at least a few out of the 10 have nasty poos… kinda like diarrhea, others have super healthy little poos. I gave them electrolytes and probiotics, I thought that helped then I found another dead this morning after checking on them. I don’t see anything visibly wrong. There’s no discharge from the beak or nose they’re all moving and active. None are stumbling or acting funny. About an hour ago I heard lots of loud peeping, went in and checked and one was on its back. Not thrashing around but clearly couldn’t right itself back up. I flipped it over and it walked off fine and I’ve had no other issues with the chick since. 😩 no idea where to go from here

The brooder I have only has 1 temperature setting for brooding but different heights you can raise and lower it to. Then it has a heat setting for when it’s in an upright position. They walk freely in and out from under the brooder without it touching them directly and they don’t peep loudly like they’re too hot or cold. They’re constantly coming out to eat and drink then they go back under. I’ve had chickens roughly 8 years and never had multiple babies die at once like this. Even had multiple successful incubations and never had this happen. Both babies died overnight sometime and both days apart. :( I’m completely lost on this. The pen is super clean and I toss the bedding daily to keep it fresher between changes
