Dying(coloring) pet rabbits

I wouldn't say its cruel, I just think it shows a lack of respect for animals. Like those people who give their dogs ridiculous haircuts. Its socially acceptable, but it seems asinine to me.

some would say its asinine to have animals in captivity period. adding a little bit of color to its fur isnt disrespectful it isnt like im going to throw it in a purse and carry it around town bragging....
its still way better than me rasing the rabbits for meat like ALOT of people do(which i dont really have a problem with since its there choice)

sort of reminds me of breeders coloring over the white areas in a black chickens feathers to hide imperfections. What is asinine (sp?)or not accepted in one area of the country is perfectly accepted and normal in the next area. Just like pizza toppings.

If its not harming tha animal in any way i dont see what the big deal is.

..good luck! show us pics after you do it!! *i also would try the spray bottle thing..not a full dunk in the dye..*

thanks. i never did plan to dip them in a bucket of dye as if they were an easter egg. my first idea was to put some dye on there hair and kinda lather it through there fur. i am going with the squirt bottle idea now though
