Dying hens

i had 4 laying hens all 2-3 years old. Three of the. Stopped laying last fall. One has continued to lay.

The three who stopped laying have all died in the last 5 weeks. No signs or symptoms. Just dead in the morning.

I have bought new chicks to replace the dead birds, but I am wondering if anyone has ideas about what happened

One production red, one barred rock, and one Cuckoo Maran all died. My Easter egger is still going strong. They were all bought together, fed layer feed, lived together. They free ranged in my backyard.

Any ideas?

If there were no signs of illness at all, then the only way to find out what was wrong would be to send one for a necropsy. If I lost a couple hens in a row, I'd do it.
