Hi everyone! I am home, we managed to sneak in between storm systems around 4am on Monday. Unfortunately I am now buried under 5 comforters and refuse to come out and play!

You'd be depressed and uncommunicative too!

In all seriousness though, I have been swamped with appointments and other things that need caught up on after a 2 week absence. God bless my teenage next door neighbor bird sitter, Autumn did a fantastic job and I came home to find all the critters healthy( if not real happy about the snow and cold). Several have been acting quite snotty toward me, so I think she spoiled them and they are also mad that I did not smuggle them along to the tropics! Thanks for being concerned about my whereabouts, it's nice to feel missed!

Here are some pretty pics to cheer us all up as we wait for spring!

Really wanted to charter this boat, but couldn't find the owner, probably sleeping it off somewhere.
FANTASTIC photos!!! That water is beautiful! The plant photos are soooo great you saw some wonderful plants. I especially love that hanging heliconia I really want to grow those but I think it is too cold here. I also love the poor man's pipe vine and the hibiscus. I don't know the name of the purple and white flower and have no idea what the pinkish one is. That is neat that you got to see a mongoose too. Did you smuggle any exotic plant seeds?

I have been to Puerta Rico, US Virgin Islands, Paradise Island in the bahamas(Atlantis when the big tsunami hit in the Indian Ocean several years ago right around x-mastime), Grenada, and Jamaica over 10 times and need to go back, but noone except maybe my neighbor can do bird chores but he only has chickens and ducks,no peas,,I also have going to Tahiti on my bucket list.
And how do I convince my parents that our next family trip should be somewhere warm and not somewhere freezing cold?

Since I am in the panhandle of Florida this part of Florida is different from the more tropical Florida where all the theme parks are. I would love to go somewhere tropical, but because my Dad loves the cold we always go somewhere cold like Gloucester Massachusetts. Lately though I have been thinking if we can never go somewhere warm, then I might as well suggest Alaska.

Well luckily ID is at a lovely 50*-60* weather for the past few weeks with no wind and lots of sun! I feel sorry for you guys that are still in snow.

What? 50 and 60? You are warmer than us! Today it was mainly in the 30's and 40's. The weather here can't make up its mind. One day it is warm, the next it is freezing cold. Welcome to Florida!
