and for my Dh , this has been a month of mixed emotions.
Smokers Quit..dont deprive your family of your being there with them.
this is a bit of a long vent..
DH was having trouble with sinas for a month and half. Refused to see the doc saying
it would pass. ( Men) Midnight comes around and Dh gets pain in his chest
on his rightside., so off to the emergency room we went.
Cat scan shows nodules on his lungs being a smoker Iexpected that..I never picked up the habit.
. We get home at 5 in the morning but before we leave he is told no
physical excercise (he was so weak he could barley walk,) and we are told to get to a
pulmonary specialist Asap. which we did luckly were able to getto see one 2 days later.
More test and antibotics. pain pills inhalers,and xrays,
then Pet Scan which lights up like
lights on a christmas tree, cancer cells light up.But Specialist sees some thing else lungs all inflamed
Could be Histomplasmosis a fungus found in the soil from Chx, cats and bat droppings,
Getting rid of it is easy, spray ing water on to the ground . But more testing.( No histoplasmosis)
what Doctors found is
a type of pneumonia that has symptoms like cancer.
so DH gets predisone and anti-inflamation meds.if in a 3 weeks he feels better
he gets another reg. scan,He has been in bed now for for month and half.
I bring meals him , he is unable to eat much weight went from212 to 203lbs.and must stay on his meds so this totaly clears up. If
Dh dosent feel better then its another biopsy.so we are just waiting
what the end of the month brings.
