Cloudkit abandoned the moss-ball and slunk through the reeds behind the elders den, coming to stand at a shallow, narrow stream.

Bumblekit, Smokekit, and Hollykit followed. Honeykit almost followed them, but remembered that he needed to keep the marigold on his scratch that Sorrelpaw put on.

Tawnykit looked back when she realized Honeykit wasn't followed "You don't have to swim if you don't want to." She said kindly.

Sparrowtail met up with Icestar near the cave in StormClan, and the pair drew away from the action to a more privet spot. "Whats going on?" The deputy asked.

"StormClan kidnapped Hawkfeather while her and Snowpaw were training. Phoenixwing and Stormstar. Snowpaw came for help but we weren't fast enough, they have her in that cave."

Sparrowtal's eyes narrowed angrily "We followed the yowling and found several rogues who had kidnapped kits. We rescued the kits, four of them, and Cherrytail and Swiftbreeze are looking after them."

"Good, were there many injuries?"

"No," He shook his head "Nothing life threatening anyways. Silverstream has a nasty gash on her belly, she stayed at camp and Ravenclaw has a few gashes along his back. The rest of us only have scratches."

"Okay." Icestar sat down and curled her tail over her paws, her gaze thoughtful "Do you think we should wait until nightfall to rescue Hawkfeather?" She asked her deputy.

Sparrowtail nodded "I think so. They don't seem to be in any danger right now, its not worth risking an open attack."

"I agree," Icestar replied with a slight nod, turning to Rainwhisker "Stay here and watch to see if theres any change. We'll return to camp for now. Theres no point in all of us waiting around here, we'd be asking to be caught."

Rainwhisker dipped his head "I'll be here when you return."

Icestar signaled to her warriors with her tail and they slunk into the shadows after her, heading back to StreamClan.

Mousekit and Cloudkit had already splashed into the stream, as StreamClan kits they were well-accustomed to being wet and the water slid off their pelts like a duck.
