Hi,
Please help.... i have a broody hen whose one ears seem to have an ear infection. Yesterday i tried cleaning the ears with hydrogen peroxide in Q-tip. I did not see any foreign material but only an empty hollow hole? But there are fluid like pus or watery that attach to her ear hair which clogged the hole. Today it is still watery with pus like fluid when i wipe with a tissue paper. I am thinking of dropping some otic drops, but we don't have poultry otic meds here. Can i use this human otic drops? I don't want to stress her much also as she is sitting on 8 eggs.

Thank you in advance for any answer

I agree with you, no need to stress her while sitting on eggs. If there's swelling in or around the ear, then yes, use the otic. Otherwise you can use Neosporin to treat ear infections. Fill the ear canal with the ointment and hopefully you'll see improvement in several days.
I just noticed that you live in the Philippines. If you cannot find or use Neosporin, go ahead and use the otic.

Thank you very much for the assurance. Will observe her ears closely and hope that it will heal on its own without me interfering as she is on eggs. 🙂
