Ear Infection?

This gal is having a rough time of it! She is molting I believe and has mostly stopped laying. She's got a dirty bum. There is a rooster that does not care for her so she doesn't free range, she just hangs out in the coop.

Does this look like it could be an ear infection or mites? Totally new to the game with chicken ailments!
