Ask your questions and you will get great answers oh check out the coop building lots of great idea's
Lavender guineas 5 weeks tomorrow. I introduced the pearl grey keets to the adults at 7 weeks, so these guys have a bit to go.
Silkies 7 weeks
Golden laced Wyandottes 4 & 5 weeks
One of the GLWs is *really* golden. I think it's a roo, but that's fine. A coon ate our one GLW roo, so we need a replacement.
Buff Orpingtons, Jersey Giants, and mutts 7 weeks. The Jerseys were from shipped eggs, so I'm glad to have gotten some roos.
More Jersey Giants, these are 10 weeks. Bought pullets. I love these guys, pretty docile even though I didn't handle them that much. I didn't handle the hatched ones really at all, and they're pretty chill too.
Pekins, 11 weeks. Loud and dumb. They reached full size at 8 weeks and they're enormous. A great alternative to chicken meatbirds, if you like duck. Not that these girls are getting ate.
Rouens and a Pekin cross 9 weeks.
Much quieter and calmer. Hard to see here, but the cross has dark green coloring on it's head and neck, some white on it's chest and wings, and bluish iridescence on it's wings like the Rouens. It's a bit bigger than the others. I think only one of the Rouens is a drake, but I have no idea on the cross.
