Our chicks due date is March 27th in the afternoon (if you want to get technical). Could they hatch any earlier? Temperature & Humidity have been 100% accurate the whole time.. We stopped turning yesterday etc.

On chicken eggs: If the temps are a little high sometimes they hatch earlier but high temps could also cause defects... Most likely they will hatch the 21st day after you started them in the bator and sometimes can be one or two days late. A chick could hatch on day 20 and another on day 23, you never know. But the first chick will be fine kept in the bator with the other unhatched chicks until they all hatch because it has a yoke sac inside it's body that will last for three days... It will need water available though... Good Luck

I have also found that not only temp. and humidity could be a factor in early hatching, it can also be the breed. Yep! It's true! I've had mixed breeds hatch on day 19 and my Orpingtons often don't make an entrance until late day 21 on into day 22, so I suppose it is hard to say for certain. Just plan on day 21 and if you get some sooner then you have a nice surprise!
