My little splash polish is about 15 weeks old and is definitely squatting!! Her little wattles are turning red already. She's quite petite and is a screecher... lovely.

Here's Beaker almost 2 weeks ago, getting a dunk b/c it was over 100 degrees:

What's the earliest your polish has ever laid an egg?

IDK but mine is 14 -15 weeks old and nothing yet-her top hat is still growing in so I was thinking as soon as those feathers finish coming out she'll lay-there is no pink in her face either...

That is such a cute picture. I dont havev any polish, but my girls started laying in their 17th and 18th week. 2 black aussies still havent laid, they are 22 weeks old now.

I have two Polish and they are not laying, but plenty of crowing going on.

I guess I won't be getting any Polish eggs. Hope you get an egg soon.

That is a cute pic. She looks like she is frowning, but that might be just that Polish look.

She's a sweetie and was the calmest of all the dunked chooks. Once in the water, she totally chilled out and was calm. Of the other 9 birds, there were several Jesus impressions (trying to walk on water).

Yeah, she was the last to lay.

I remember the day she started. She was our only white egger. She was frantic, cackling, and the other girls were free-ranging so she only had me to feel sorry for her.

It was one big egg for a first-time layer, though. Well worth the wait.
