where is a chickens earlobe, whats the egg color have to do with them. I'm going out tonight just to this out. Don't laugh I'm going to do it.

If a chicken's earlobes are white, it is likely that the chicken breed's eggs will have white eggshells.

If a chicken's earlobes are red, it is likely that the chicken breed's eggs will have brown eggshells.

This doesn't work for every breed, but it works for enough of them that it makes it easy to guess what color of eggs you might get.
