I noticed one of my hen had bumblefoot today when she was stretching. So tonight I brought her in and soaked her foot in warm epsom salt water and cleaned it good.
I had planned to remove the scab/plug and get out anything that was underneath.
But it's not really a complete scab and wasn't lifting but a little piece did come off at the edge when I used a tweezer.
If you look at pic you can see it's not solid scab. So I put some antibiotic on it and vet wrapped it.

What step would you recommend next? I was thinking soaking it in epsom water daily and see if it will slough off. Should I keep it wrapped too?

You can soak it a few more days, but it may not be too severe yet. A more conservative treatment would be a wound dressing of either sugar plus Betadine, or Prid drawing salve. A 2x2 folded gauze pad dressing changed every 1-2 days can help.

Is it either or? Would it be helpful to soak and then do the Prid dressing? (I've never heard of sugar plus Betadine...interesting!)
