Early bloomers?

I have 12 LF birds I got from a hatchery that I was told hatched 1/19. So they're not yet 4 months. The 2 that turned out to be Roos started crowing at 8 weeks (I gave one away, and the one we kept mates them all, all day long!) and last week we got our first 2 eggs! I wasn't expecting eggs till late June. How common is it for them to mature early?

Congrats on your first egg! What breeds are they? Some breeds mature early.

The rooster is an EE. I have BO, SLW, BR RIR. The only one I know for sure laid an egg is a BO. My son saw her do it.
