I am excited for you!

My chicken eggs are freezing before sis can even get out to collect them.

Well, she has steadied herself down into an every other day routine, and there's a time window now from about 6:30 to 9:30 pm, and the pea house is mostly not going below freezing except on the really cold nights, and there's really deep pine shavings in there... I have it figured out to the point that I can mostly grab them while they are still warm.

Too funny... she's getting all the other birds trained to her routine

I got 4 heat lamps and it's still below freezing. Two are on the little ones, orphan Annie and her crew. Just watched weather forecast, calling for windchill -15 to - 25. Yikes! Only bird acting restless is Angel but if I let him out he would turn right around, silly bird. He stays out one night and then he is glad to be shut in. Mynakedneck rooster is not doing well, he needs a scarf!

Wow... get that bator going again! At least some of the eggs that you cracked open before were fertile... Winter over there isn't exactly winter like we have here. betcha you don't have to dig any ice out of your waterers

How many hens do you have laying?

Three laid this week, tonight was the coldest night in this winter so far, its 4 C now, and its supposed to get down to 0 C this coming days! Let see what will happen, still hoping for some winter babies

Yeah, just a few days in the year, and next 7 days supposed to be the coldest this winter, It's usually just getting down to freezing in the desert or in the farms areas, not in the city.
