I ended up using coconut oil on this hatch and my last hatch. Always make sure I have it in when hatching begins just in case.I recently hatched my very first ducklings. 3 eggs in the incubator. My first one took an entire 48 hours to unzip after externally pipping. Had me in a panic. I assisted a bit. Added coconut oil. Opened the incu very quickly many times. 2 out of 3 of the eggs pipped through the wrong end. All in all, after the first, I let the last 2 do their thing. Everyone hatched succcessfully and are now 5 week old pooping machines lol
So far 6 have hatched and the other two look like they will hatch by tonight. Two of the little ducklings have quite open belly buttons but I have put them in a different incubator so the others don’t hurt them (just until they have closed up a tad more)How many have hatched so far?
