We put eggs into our Genesis on April 4th around noon. This cutie:

pipped around 8PM on 4-22 and hatched overnight. At least three more of 10 have pipped.

We are running at 100F. I don't have a calibrated thermometer, but the Genesis agreed with the one thermometer we had in the incubator.

Should we try 99.5F next time or is this not a big deal?

Half of my last hatch pipped and hatch on day 19 the rest (with the exception of one, punctual chick) hatched day 20 the last early on day 21. You can adjust down the half degree. It's not a major deal as long as they are all formed correctly and are healthy.

So out of our 11 eggs that made it to lockdown, 6 were gathered from our chickens and 5 came from a nearby friend of a friend. The one that hatched is ours, and our other 5 have all pipped. The 6 from the FOF have not yet pipped. I guess they follow the chick calendar better than our early birds. :)

LOL. I hope that's the case. If it proves true it certainly will be funny!!

As an update all of our eggs have hatched, the latest this morning, which would be towards the end of day 19. Four of the 5 from the FOF have now pipped, so they are indeed seem to be on schedule, perhaps just a bit early.
