One of my chicks has hatched on the morning of day 20! Probably about 7:00am. How long can I leave her in there? Tomorrow is day 21. Is it ok if I leave this little one in the incubator through end of day tomorrow??? That would be about 34 hours??? I read that they absorb the yolk which provides them nutrients to last them for a long time. Is this true?? I'm so nervous because this is my first time!! Thank you in advance!

Chickens can stay in for 72 hours, personally I remove quail chicks (24 hours okay in incubator) as soon as they are walking around and squawking but my humidity runs 85% so they never dry and tend to run amuck in there (play soccer with eggs, drag each other around by toes or wings), but if you worry about shrink wrapping there’s nothing wrong with leaving them in.

Thank you! This is comforting!
