Found 2 eggs in the box this morning. A bit unusual because this time of year they dont seem to lay until after midday, and because there is a tiny little guy. Are my youngsters laying early?!
They are only about 19 wks which is early for Brahmas to say the least, but if so, it will be the earliest egg layer we've had. Most have not start laying for us until 22-23wks.
Until we get another, I am leaning towards an unusually small egg from an adult, but it was exciting to think about.

Ehhh..brahma can mature and start later, but the hatchery ones I've had started at about 18-22 week. ...sunlight increasing ever more quickly, so It wouldn't surprise me.
One way to know for sure...check the pelvic bone spacing:

My Brahmas starting laying around 3 1/2 to 4 months of age.
14-16 weeks?!
