Early quitters

Well, I don't hatch at a really good ratio tbh but I've had hens wander off and come back with lots of babies 21 days later. I usually only incubate eggs if I notice a hen is sitting on way too many, but that means theyve been improperly started already so I dont have high expectations. Because my hens like to sit on like 30 eggs?
Too many fertile eggs. What a lovely problem to have! I spend a fortune for 90% failure!

That was in the spring. Lately I've been getting 0 eggs because everyone is either not laying or is laying in the woods. I've finally found 1 active nest.

I've hatched eggs in my little Brinsea Mini Advance twice now. I usually put 6 eggs in, and 5 of those 6 hatch successfully. My most porous eggs are usually the first and only to die. The incubator I have has a built in thermometer and the temps are usually accurate, and it rotates the eggs automatically.

My birds hatch out healthy and I don't really have a lot of problems, except for regulating humidity. It either gets really humid or really, really dry. In the beginning of the hatching process I have to add a wet paper towel and take it out by the time the second chick starts hatching due to how quickly it gets humid in there.
