Early quitting in eggs

They started laying back in March. All of the shells are super thick.

Then I would lean more towards a genetic defect. But someone else step in if they have more ideas. How many cayuga eggs do you want to incubate?

I was trying to do 6-10. I have 5 currently on day 6 but I cannot see into the shell to see much past a yellowing blob.

The air sacs are progressing like all my other eggs. Except one which is very large in comparison.

I was able to see a slight heartbeat around day 5. But it probably depends on how dark the shell is.

Also, no chance they are baking in the hot sun where the other breed isn’t laying?

These shells just are hard for me to see through even though they are blue. I have only once seen shadows through the shell.

No they lay late at night or early in the morning.

If you are willing to wait, I could send you 7. Then you could try incubating mine and yours to see if it is the environment or genetics, etc. I only have 1 laying right now though..... ugh. So it would take me 7 days.
