earthquake and chick died!!

last night there was an earthquake at 5.6 magnitude and today when i candle the eggs all have died i guess no moving at all..is it true that sound waves or vibration can kill chick inside the egg?

That sounds scary. I hope your eggs are ok. What day are they on? Sometimes close to hatching it's hard to see movement when the eggs are so full, I personally wouldn't give up on them so quickly, unless you have other signs of egg death.

I agree sometimes it's hard to see movement later in development, are you sure they are all dead?

they are day 14 i am still going to give it a try anyway..one egg that is 7 days old surely died i cannot see any movements at all but the other 4 eggs is which i am not sure..but when i candle them at day 14 i used to see them moving near the air cell but with these eggs and with all the earthquake i am guessing they died..they look a lot like dead egg

What breed of quail? If they have died, the rumble of an earthquake shouldn't have harmed the embryos at this stage of growth, might be another factor or incubator malfunction.

japanese quail they are and i think it's the earthquake but idk..a few months back there was an earthquake when the eggs were 14 days old and did not hatched..when i open the shell all were fully developed and yes my incubator temperature range is between 99.8-101f humidity levels are 37-40

These eggs are pretty mottled to see through, but its possible they have parished. Just in case you might finish off the cycle just in case some are still alive.

my ancestors used to said that if an earthquake ever occurs eggs are not likely to hatch when even under a broody hen
