Earwig infestation

Hi,
This is my first year raising my flock, and I have recently noticed a lovely earwing infestation in the reclaimed wood we used for our run. I am wondering if they can be harmful to my girls and what I might be able to do to get rid of the infestation without harming my flock?:/

Chickens can eat earwigs without danger.

They can Iive under bedding and in crevices in wood and are reported to eat red mites. They prefer damp places to live as well as infesting certain types of reclaimed, untreated wood. But mostly rotted wood.

Personally I would be concerned whether they earwigs can damage the wood enough to jeopardize the integrity of your run and would not want to use pesticides around the flock.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in with some specific advice?

I am glad they don't have any specific harm to the girls. That is my whitey too,so far it remains sturdy, but hoping there is some way to drive them out safely. If not then worse case scenario I'll just have to rebuild the run.

If the chickens eat all the adult earwigs, then no earwig eggs, then no worry?
