Earwigs in the feed pail?

Almost everyday I open the 5 gallon metal pail that holds my feed and i see an earwig. I always scoop it out with a cup and throw it away BUT THERE IS ALWAYS ONE IN THERE! is this common? and have they probably nested and reproduced in there?
 
Its just an extra treat for the chickens. Leave it in and let them eat it.
 
Earwigs love hiding in dry, warm places. I wouldn't worry about them. Chickens love to eat them, so just consider them bonus food!
