Earwigs have infested my chicken coop. It has a metal tray you can pull out to change the bedding and when I pull it out there are 100's of earwigs underneath. I do DE mixed in with the shavings but this hasn't made a difference and I hose it out once a week. I am not sure it will harm the chickens but it is really gross. What can I use that is safe for the girls???

PS I hate earwigs.

Shame that your chickens arn't eatting them..

Try olive oil in a small container, the Earwigs are attracted to the oil and crawl up the container and drown in the oil.
Won't hurt the chicken if they decide to eat the oil socked pests.

Yes! I have them everywhere and sometimes I've see them in our house.

I just put down de for the first time today beacuase of the earwigs and ants. I hope someone has a suggestion..worried that de didn't work for the op because they are bad this year

My girls come looking for me every day to help them find earwigs and beatles in the yard!!! They love that I show them where all the goodies are. Maybe you should dangle a light in your coop and get the party started!!!

Ewww... I hate Earwigs... They remind me of scorpions. We find them in our laundry that's been hung outside. I would flip out if I found hundreds at a time!!!!
