Easiest eggs to hatch? With a photo.

Ha! im sorry, i didn't see you were in the UK. I've personally never seen Large Fowl Silkies over here, but have seen Silky-feathered cochins and other birds, like Seramas.

i've never really thought about it but i guess a quarter is about 1 inch in diameter?

i've never heard of Silkies any smaller than bantam sized, but there's a lot of birds over there that arent yet over here.

do you have pictures of the bird next to another? or know its height?

Not yet as I haven't had any luck with hatching! But I asked the person I got the eggs from and he measured from the birds feet to neck (it was feeding with head down!) and he said roughly 5.5" Also in the listing it was pictured next to a can of coke and was the same height standing upright.

We definitely have Large and Bantam Silkies over here. I didn't think chickens differed from country to country.

I'm on a mission now to find out if these Silkie eggs are any smaller than average bantam eggs!! I paid silly money for them just because I wanted the smallest possible!
