Lenoir City!!! Looking for free chickens & rooster to start my flock. Not wanting to spend a lot not knowing what to buy or what we will like. My kids begged me to build our coop and at 9, 11 & 14, they are pretty convincing. I know I want a silky and we want eggs.

The tractor supply in LC had some last week and the coop in Midtown had a bunch yesterday

Farmers Co-op... Just east of Kingston. Oh and the Co-op in Loudon has some too. They are just south of Highway 72 on Hwy 11

Hi - I'm in the Roane County area. I have two broody hens but no fertile eggs. I am looking for just hatched chicks to slip under them or some eggs that will hatch soon (they have been broody for 3+ weeks). Does anyone know where I can get some?

Hmmm...I may have some fertile eggs... they are rhodebars.
I "may" have another going broody myself, but if she doesn't I can get you some eggs.

Thanks! The Rhodebars are new to me. I'll look you up. When might you know? One of my girls has been broody for over a month and she is losing weight, so I would like to get some soon.
