Ok thank you! I ended up getting a bantam hen but I'm worried since my others are the Americana chickens along with a big rooster they might hurt her or she won't be able too sit on their eggs

I really don't endorse this, but if you're familiar with Cleveland, you may know about what we've always called "the sale" out here south of town at Morgan Cemetery Rd on Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday. In my opinion, based on lots that I've seen, the health & quality of some stuff sold up there is questionable, depending on who it is, but you could look if you want. We occasionally have sold up there, & used to buy, but one just has to know who they're dealing with & how to tell if birds look healthy, & even then, there's no telling. There's a few regulars we really trust, but don't know most sellers up there anymore. Plus that place has just become chaotic, people & traffic wise. Conroe generally has better stuff, but that's not to say you couldn't get lucky here. A year ago I could've helped--that's when I started getting into layers & out of banties. Good luck!

Yeah I've went out there numerous times! There are a few I know but your right it is crazy out there now!

We got 18 chicks from TS in Palestine. No clue on breeds. Then i have 4 each of Orpington, Ameracauna, Australorp, and Barred Plymouth Rocks coming in May from Ideal Poultry.

I have 11 Americaunas (Blue/BlackSplash) and 11 French Copper Marans coming in May, from a BYCer who raises them.
