East texas?

Welcome, DragonClaw01. Crockett here. We are right in the Davy Crockett National Forest and so far no predator issues yet. Think that might be thanks to my messy neighbors. Predators have more places to hide and easier access to their chickens at their place.

Oh cool, can't you hunt there? I have few predators because I've got a few large dogs that would love nothing more than to rip the throats from a coyote or somesuch animal. They don't play nice with predators or other wildlife. Moles, feral hogs, mice, etc have no chance.

Yes we can hunt here. My son shot two nice does about 2 minutes apart this past deer season. We are trying to shoot some of the coyotes here since they are getting pretty bold coming up on our porches at night. Nothing has messed with our chickens so far.

I am on a lease this year and hope to bring back two deer for the freezer.
