ok. i have an EE roo that needs a new home. he's 29 weeks and i got him as a chick from Ideal. he is a BEAUTIFUL black and white spalsh with the most impressive bottle black/green tail. he's pretty gentle with the girls and fine with my other boys (who he was raised with). he's not aggressive at all, but he is a little scared if you try to pick him up (he's never done anything worse than flap me in the face). if it weren't for the other EE roo that i adore, i would keep him myself. as it is, i need to thin out some boys. if anyone is interested in him, i would love for you to take him. i'm asking $10, but that is negotiable. i wanted to go ahead and post this so i can bring him with me to the meeting if someone is interested.

this isn't the best picture, especially of his gorgeous tail, but he won't let me get a good one

Bibliophile, I just LOVE that dress! I get a kick out of quirky clothing that defines a person as unique. Can't really get much more unique than being a chicken addict! My husband (and everyone else I know, for that matter) thinks that I have fallen off of the proverbial deep-end! I thought they knew this about me...I'm a science teacher who totes a Senegal parrot to school most days. What more could they expect??

By the way, anyone have an animal rehab license? This "unique" person has an Eastern Little Brown Bat that needs a caretaker. I've done it before, but am out of the business!

Sorry....Little League's started up, so I've been pretty busy.

Possumblossum, Party of one for the meeting; no need in overwhelming everyone with all four pre-teens.

Uh, seriously, though, I only live a couple of miles from the Cracker Barrel, so I'll get there about 1345 and get a table for 18 (that'll give us a little elbow room for bags, pics, etc.). Just ask for the chicken party when you get there.

BTW, Anyone seen the posts for the big swap in Murphy on the 24th? I'm planning on going with the whole fam; I've never been to one before and it looks like its turning out to be pretty big.

Justin, I'm thinking about bringing my teen just to get her out of the house.... but NOT telling her who will be there!

That will be awesome if you can get there to grab a ginormous table. I'll be there around the same time, probably, because I'm compulsively early (or I get lost and am late, but that won't happen with CB).


Hadn't heard about a swap in Murphy. Will check into it. But if that's in NC, and 129 isn't open, then I doubt we'll go.

Whoops, knew that date rang a bell: The teen has a band event she's going to, which will require me to be designated driver.

For most of us, the easiest way to get to Murphy would be by going to Madisonville and taking Hwy 68 through Tellico Plains. Once you get through the little community of Farner, there are about three different roads that lead to Murphy, all of them are marked.
