I'm ok with whatever they end up being. I looked up a lot of the marans chicks and agree they don't look like them. Maybe mom was one and dad was an EE. Who knows unless they respond to the question. I just didn't think an EE would lay a brown egg and they said the eggs came from EE hens. It'll be interesting to see what they end up growing to look like and what they lay (hopefully at least one's a girl). My current flock is so mixed that I can only imagine what these guys are going to look like. Genes are amazing.
