Hello!

I have a flock of 6 mixed chickens. We recently started hearing a crow and are trying to figure out who is doing it 🧐 Two hens are older and laying but the rest are about 5 -6 months old and we've had them all since they were a couple of weeks old. Our Easter Egger (Princess Laya) always hated being held, was quite flighty, and never friendly/ docile. We never thought they'd be a roo as they're maturing at the same rate as the others but they're the only one with unique coloring so are thinking our princess might be a prince. We also noticed that a feather fauxhawk was starting to appear. Any thoughts?

This one is a pullet. Post pictures of the rest of your flock.

The other 3 are a jersey giant (not pure bred might be an australorp), olive egger, or a cuckoo maran.

It must have been an older hen being a weirdo. I’ve had it happen.
It could've been the 2 yr old Easter Egger. She was standing with the younger chickens when we heard the crowing. It's been happening every week or so and only in the morning. Super strange.
