Hello. My EE are 9 weeks old now. They are from ideal poultry. The description from their website states that they have pea combs, with ear muffs and beards.

I don’t quite see a developing beard or muffs. At what age do beards/ muffs usually develop ?

Chickens have a beard and muffs from the day they are hatched. Not all Easter Eggers have a beard and muffs because they have no standard, and therefore they do not need to have those to be Easter Eggers. Hatcheries and breeders often say that their Easter Eggers have a beard and muffs when not all of them do, because they know people are more attracted to the cuteness of chickens with a beard and muffs.
